This work is installed as a site specific installation and displays a collage of the local area from live camera feeds. The image consists of a mix of five live camera images set on a background that represents a journey to the gallery as a series of still images. All of the elements within the image-collage connect the viewer to her immediate presence in the space. She sees a live image of the building that she is in from the outside. She sees the escalator that she just took. She sees the street and sidewalk outside the building. She also sees a candle within the image that is a live magnified view of a real candle, also in the room. Lastly the viewer sees a shadow of herself within the collage. This dynamic patchwork is constantly changing due to the movement of the various elements within the image. Certain aspects of the image change based upon the action or inaction of the viewer. The accompanying sound is that of a wind storm, and is modulated by the visible flickering of the candle.
